Author Topic: API Issues Today? Always reports "No Photo Selected"  (Read 5437 times)

I had a report earlier today and just verified for myself that the Picnik API integration seems to be failing to pull in pictures. Both sites I use it for have been working without change for several months and I didn't see any info on API changes, outages, etc. Is this a known issue?

Here's a sample URL that we are using:
Code:
http://www.picnik.com/service/?_apikey=MY_API_KEY&
_import=LINK_TO_VALID_IMAGE&
_export=LINK_TO_VALID_ENDPOINT&
_export_title=Save%20and%20Return&
_export_agent=browser&
_exclude=out&
_host_name=MyHostName&
_out_quality=10&
_out_format=jpg&
_out_maxwidth=600

Attached is the message that is consistently returned by the Picnik App.

Anyone know what's going on?

Yes, we've got an issue with the API where images are failing to import properly.  We should have a fix out shortly.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the quick reply Steve, glad to know you guys are on top of it. Just needed to make sure I wasn't crazy or missing something.

Hi, last weekend I had the same error with "push" method when I tried to get the image back to my server. Since this is the first time I'm doing this I thought I was making something wrong, and may be I'm.
Could you please confirm if you are still having problems with the API or shoud I open a thread with my case.
Thank you in advance.

We're not aware of any issues with the API at the moment; send us your details and we'll see what's up.
