I cannot sign into picnik.com.

I am using the above system. I do not have a computer with the Windows option on it. I cannot upgrade my Adobe flash.

6 hours ago, I could use picnik. Now, I cannot use it in premium and I am a registered user.

HELP... please help...

Hi there!

With our release yesterday, we bumped up the minimum Flash requirement to Flash v9.0.60. We're very excited to move all of our users to Flash 10 so that they can get the benefit of faster open and save, new effects, and the huge new maximum resolution of 4000x4000. Upgrade now! http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

For our Mac users, Adobe requires OS X v.10.4 for Flash 10. For more information, check out the Adobe Flash site for minimum operating system and browser requirements:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/

Thanks!

Thanks for your response. I know you are excited, but I am not that excited. I do not have a Mac which can handle that high of a flash player. And, I have friends who are having similar problems. I don't need to use all of the new fun textures every time I do editing of my photos. I just would like to do some of the editing I was doing from my computer. I cannot use picnik directly from my computer unless I go under the editor from flickr. And, without signing into picnik, I cannot access the nice mirror frames that are available for pro-accounts. And, I just renewed my account.

And, you say... either upgrade my computer or my system... however, my computer is set up for a purpose. I cannot just run out there and upgrade my system. I am not going to pay another $10,000 for a duplicate computer that is like my Mac computer that can run flash 10. My computer cost me $7,000 approx 5 1/2 years ago (sure, you might say it is old, but in the world of Mac... I cannot justfy paying the price for the duplicate (English and Japanese) software. I am operating a G4 Dual with system X10.2.8 which has 2 monitors hooked up to the tower (for 2 different users). System X10.2.8 is the max system that my English software can take. And, I say English because I live in Japan where Japanese is also the other language on my computer. I have had to buy duplicate software over the years to have it in English and Japanese.

You say... well, then get with the modern times, but my computer has many purposes and the system I am running shares many other things. I cannot upgrade my system or upload a flash higher than the one that is on my computer.

I have other friends on flickr that are running into the same problems with older Windows computers. With the economy just the way it is, we  (my friends and I) cannot just run out and buy new computers.

So, how can I sign-in using my old flash that works fine on my computer and use the limited pro-account features? I went to sleep and slept for 6 hours. I came back onto flickr to upload a photo to edit it under picnik and it said I had to upload the new flash. Well, I cannot do that and it doesn't matter if I cannot use some of the fancier things.

As it is, I have to go borrow someone's Window computer to use the picnik editor. And, I don't always have access to that computer.

My attraction to picnik was it was Mac and Windows friendly. There are other on-line editors that are for only Windows and are not Mac friendly. So, how can picnik be Mac friendly to older Mac users? And, how can picnik be friendly to older Windows users?

Now, I just wish I hadn't gone to sleep and in 6 hours, the ability to use picnik is gone with my Mac system.

Great news! Adobe has posted a special version of the Flash Player that works with your operating system (and others such as Windows 98, ME and older versions of Linux). It also meets our new Flash requirements.  Please install this version and you'll be back in business with Picnik!

Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Here's something that might help people out there like me who are running Mac OSX10.3.9 on a PPC mac.

After downloading the Flash version linked to above, the DMG opens with 2 files:  Flash Player.plugin and flashplayer.xpt

There is no installation file at all, and this really had me perplexed.

What you need to do is copy those two files into your Library >> Internet Plug-Ins  folder.  Restart your browser and Flash should then start working and you'll be able to Picnik again!

Adobe really needs to put these instructions somewhere...    Huh I googled until I finally found something on the Apple Discussions site explaining how to do it.

Hope this helps!
