Have you integrated Picnik into your product?  This is the place to tell us all about it!

Include as much or as little detail as you like.  What went well?  What was hard?  What did you learn along the way?  Any tips or tricks to help newcomers?

(Be sure to include a URL to your site, and directions for how to find your Picnik-based feature if it's not obvious.)

Just to get the ball rolling, here are some of my own favorite Picnik integration sites.  If you're looking for ideas on how to bring Picnik's awesomeness to your own site, start with these:

  • Freewebs (http://www.freewebs.com): Edit photos both from their "site builder" and their "file manager".
  • Box.net (http://www.box.net): Edit any photo by selecting Picnik from a drop-down menu.
  • Flickr (http://www.flickr.com): I'm sure everyone has seen this one.  Although this is our most seamless integration, it does involve some custom coding on our side (something that we reserve for our biggest partners).
  • iimmgg (http://www.iimmgg.com): This one is Charlie's favorite for when he wants to give someone a quick taste of Picnik integration.

log onto Facebook and add PikiPages at
http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=6470317146

When you drag or add a picture to a page, you can mouse over to 'Edit' it...
which brings up, in-canvas, the Picnik Editor.... then when you save, we get the image
back from Picnik, re-thumb it, and reload it on the canvas page. More than a few pikipage users
have used the Picnik to customize a certain pic on the page. A great value-add for us, since we had a very limited picture editor and now we can drop dev on that and let Picnik bring us best in class.

We have problems making Picnik work on Mac OS X, but we think it's more issues with Flash and Safari/FF2 on the MAC, rather than problems with Picnik.
If you Picnik guys could take a look at that some day and tell us it's our bug and how to fix, that would be welcomed.

The Wicket components I developed are now integrated into IndyPhone.de. You can upload images, make something crazy with them, and then send it to your friend's mobile phone.

With Picnik, it was possible for us to enable our users to do some very enhanced photo processing before loading the image into our own editor.

To see this in action, you must be registered at IndyPhone.de, which currently requires a german mobile phone number (sorry).

Then go to www.indyphone.de/logos, pick your style and go crazy  Grin

Photosleeve now has Picnik support! Here is the announcement on our blog.

We're using the "picnikbox" approach, which was pretty straightforward to set up. One Picnik feature that we'd love to see is an option to automatically rotate a photo when it's loaded, based on a rotation value we supply. We've added a feature request for this.

Photosleeve is currently in private beta, so accessing Picnik editing on Photosleeve requires an invitation today. There are some more details about what we're up to on our site, where you can also request an invitation if you're interested. The short story is that we're building a simple, fast photo site-- and Picnik fit perfectly.

Picnik is definitely "photo editing awesomeness."

Snapzilla (www.slpics.com) has just added Picnik integration. The announcement is here:

Users must be registered to use the tools, but there is an image in the announcment thread.

I am so incredibly impressed with Picnik!

Snapzilla is a photosharing site for the virtual world Second Life.
