Release 7 is out!

Our official 'Holiday' release is up and chock full of great new features! We'd love for you to try it and give us feedback. Here's what's new this week:

Webcam! Wanna take a photo of where you are at this very moment? Use our new Webcam feature in the 'Get Photos' tab. Picnik will automatically detect your webcam and do the rest. You just have to remember to smile.

Flickr Search! You told us Yahoo Search was great, now we give you 'Flickr Search'. This works much like the advanced search in Flickr, but with the ability to quickly reorganize your view based on a variety of preferences. We've also added the ability to search based on 'Creative Commons' attributes.

Slide Show! Your favorite pictures can now be exported as a 'Slide show' onto any web page under 'Save & Publish'. You can personalize your slide show via a variety of means (change background color, photo-set to pull from, size, etc.). Simply cut & paste the HTML script we provide onto your webpage.

Here's what also 'snuck in' prior to this release:

Email Photos to a ton of photo websites. We know Picnikers are a well rounded lot. You can now send photos to: PhotoBucket, ImageShack, TypePad, Costco Photos, Snapfish, Walmart Photos, SmugMug, Windows Live Spaces, Kodak EasyShare, LiveJournal, Fotolog, Nakama, Picture Trail, Fotopic, as well as Flickr.

Flickr Pro users now have the choice of either saving a new image or replacing the original.

One Click 'Go to Flickr'. Just click on your buddy icon or name in Picnik to go straight to your Flickr account.

'Open Flickr' added to the gear menu of each Flickr thumbnail. This will take you straight to that photo's page on Flickr.

Zoom Step. Click on the small and large icons next to the lower-right zoom slider to zoom in major steps (e.g. 50%, 100%, 200%)

Account Status. Added Flickr 'pro' indicator to Flickr thumbnail page.

Picnik Tagging. Added a checkbox option to auto-tag images with 'Picnik'.

Needless to say, we've also been busy bug fixing. Sign in problems should be a thing of the past, but please let us know if you still encounter problems.
